Late Work Policy

  • Late work is defined by any assigned work that is being turned in AFTER the due date.

  • Any work not turned in on time, for ANY REASON (Excused absence, Unexcused absence, Late work, 504, IEP, ect), you will see a 50% in Skyward. See Grading tab from the drop down menu.

  • The only way this will be removed is when you submit your assignment.

  • Students are required to complete a late work slip located in the back of the classroom, located at the bottom of the turn it in baskets.  Students will either (A) staple it to the physical assignment or (B) just submit the form if it's an electronic assignment.

  • Failure to turn in this slip will prevent your work from being graded.

  • I will grade all late work accordingly:

    • (1) On time work will get first priority

    • (2) Absent work will get second priority

    • (3) Late work will get third priority.

Reminders

  • Always check the class calendar given to teach student at the beginning of the month. Calendars are available in person and electronically under the class calendar folder on Schoology.

  • Always LISTEN to the assignments and deadlines a teacher provides in class. Calendars are subject to change to meet the needs of the class and FPCHS.  Just because you do something that I did not assign does not mean you will receive credit,

  • On Schoology, your course automatically defaults to the update page now. It is your responsibility to check that once a day. I update after the school day is over.

  • It is your responsibility to check your school gmail account daily. I will send emails.

  • Be sure to check the back board in class daily.

I DO NOT Accept "I did not know" as an excuse.
