

This is an agreement between the student, parent/guardian and the teacher. On your first day of my course, you will receive a Syllabus Agreement form which must be signed and returned. Failure to return form does not excuse any student from classroom policies and procedures. This page can and may be updated as needed. Hard copy signed agreements are kept on file for the duration of the course.

Description of Course and Objectives
The United States History course consists of the following content area strands: United States History, Geography and Humanities. The ​primary content emphasis for this course pertains to the study of United States History from the Pre-Civil War (1850) through the Present Day. Students will be exposed to the historical, geographical, political, economical and sociological events, which influenced developed of the United States and the result impact on World History. Students will clearly see the relationship between cause and effect in historical events.
Course Material
Students will utilize the Pearson textbook of Prentice Hall: United States History 1850 to the Present, 2010. In addition, students will also use their computer to access Schoology and other online material in support of the curriculum. School provided computers are already equipped with necessary programs needed for this course.

Complete all assignments with a positive outlook.

Attendance - I expect you to be in my classroom ON time. If you miss my class but are present for 50% of your other classes, I expect you to follow up with me to see what you missed. Unless we talk, I will hold you accountable for the same due dates as the rest of your classmates. Especially first period, I expect you in my class.
